Care
Care
We want your jumper to last so in order to ensure it stays in pristine condition we have a few easy care recommendations:
- Don't over wash - this may sound crazy but you actually only really need to wash wool knitwear twice a year because it has naturally odour resistant and antibacterial properties. Fewer washes also increases a garment's lifetime and has a much smaller impact on the environment, airing your jumper in between wears can also help!
- Hand-wash - when it is time to give your jumper a wash we recommend hand-washing on a cold wash with appropriate wool detergent.
- Dry your garments flat - this stage is key to keeping the shape of your jumper! After washing, dry flat on a towel and make sure it is completely dry before putting it back in your wardrobe.
- Pilling - it is natural for wool products to begin to pill, this is just because when the wool is spun into a yarn, the fibres differ in length. These are really easy to remove with either a pilling comb or a fabric shaver.
- Storing - to keep your jumpers shape, we suggest that you avoid hanging them as the weight of the fabric will cause them to stretch and lose their shape. Instead, store folded in your wardrobe.
With the correct care, a quality woollen jumper will last you decades, so it is worth taking your time to keep them looking as good as new!
